The test is normally done in about 15-20 minutes, but you will have up to 45 minutes to complete it.

The results are sent 20 days after the official date of the call for applications. You will receive an email with the certificate, but you can also download it through the Cervantes website with your user data.

The certificate is valid for 4 years.

The exam consists of 25 multiple-choice questions. It is very important that you answer all the questions, as mistakes are not penalized. On the other hand, you can make up to 10 mistakes, to be PASSED you only have to get 15 correct answers.

You will first have to apply for a waiver from the Ministry of Justice. Once you have the dispensation, you can sign up for the special exams that the Instituto Cervantes opens on the last Tuesday of each month (except in August and December).
