No. Students look forward to an immersive experience in which they can practice Spanish. If you know a little English, it is always welcome (and you may be able to practice it) but, above all, communication will be in Spanish as much as possible.
As this is a cultural experience and not merely an accommodation, students usually expect a certain degree of involvement in the immersive experience. If you can spend some time showing them your favorite places in the city and chatting with them at home, they will surely appreciate it and the experience will be much more enriching.
